Known issues
Pipewire: No sound after installation ( pre-1.5.3-RC5-SLIM ISOs )
Run these commands as your user (not root!) in Konsole terminal:
systemctl --user disable --now pulseaudio.socket pulseaudio.service
systemctl --user enable --now pipewire-pulse.socket wireplumber.service
systemctl --user enable --now pipewire.service
EPKG Update takes a long time ( pre-1.5.3-RC5-SLIM ISOs )
epkg update
Takes a long time because it depends on git to do anything.
Practically it runs a deep-run through git history of the repo and optimizes based on space.
But since we've got plenty of space nowadays, all you have to do is just:
cd /etc/portage && git pull
cd /var/db/repos/gentoo && git pull
cd /var/db/repos/argent-ws && git pull && git submodule update --init --recursive --depth=1
As a workaround. Most probably we'll change how EPKG behaves in updating.
Or if you mistakenly destroyed your repositories in trying to fix this issue above, you can simply reset everything via:
avasile --usermode
When switching to avasile --devmode you can't compile stuff due to missing build tools
We have recently changed some things and packages in the ISO image, and we have removed the build-only dependencies (such as meson, ninja, make, automake, autoconf ).
The solution to this is rather simple:
epkg o --with-bdeps y dev-build/autoconf dev-build/autoconf dev-build/automake dev-build/libtool dev-build/make dev-build/ninja dev-libs/md4c gcc
Run it before starting to emerge or epkg recompile stuff.
Errors in upgrading
Such as these:

This happens if you didn't clear your /var/cache/binpkgs or /var/cache/binhost/*, after running epkg upgrade.
You can run epkg upgrade -v and it will basically tell you to run emaint binhost -f, which is part of the solution.
But everything like this can be solved by running:
emaint binhost -f
eclean-pkg -d
epkg upgrade
epkg clean
Optional in case you lost your /etc/portage settings:
avasile --usermode
We recommend running all of them in case upgrading doesn't work.
It resets everything back to Argent, complete fix.
You can also delete all your prebuilt binary packages by cleaning up these directories:
rm -rf /var/cache/binpkgs/*
rm -rf /var/cache/binhost/*
Package is giving [Errno 22] Invalid Argument

You must have mistakenly cancelled Ctrl C a fetch.
The fix is easy. Run:
epkg clean

Accept, and it will remove it. Alongside other useless locally saved .gpkg.tar precompiled binaries archives.
This is not a error, it's just a warning, it doesn't impact. But it's burning the eyes, so we understand.
EPKG update failed
epkg update
If this fails (for example a sync that was interrupted, or a repository left in a broken git state), you don't have to fix it by hand.
Avasile can wipe your synced repositories and Argent configuration clean and fetch them again from scratch. It removes the Gentoo tree in /var/db/repos/gentoo, the Argent overlay in /var/db/repos/argent-ws and the Argent /etc/portage configuration, then downloads fresh copies. Your packages and distfiles directories are kept.
If you use Argent with prebuilt binaries (the default):
avasile --usermode
If you compile packages yourself:
avasile --devmode
When it finishes, run the update again:
epkg update
Any changes you made yourself in /etc/portage will be lost, so back them up first if you need them.
